Aunt Sarah’s Room is on the ground floor of the house, convenient to the dining room and the parlor. This room is named for Sarah Russell, who lived in this house all of her 93 years. She was a prominent citizen in Greene, never married, and participated in the family business and banking before that was common for women. Her garden parties were famous!

This room’s bathroom has been adapted for people with mobility concerns, with a bench in the shower, a sink that is accessible from a walker, and a raised toilet with side grips. Of course, Aunt Sarah’s Room is also appreciated by anyone who doesn’t want to climb stairs or prefers separate beds. It features two single beds, and a private bathroom. And it is our most-requested room.
